Hello Friend!
Welcome to this week’s newsletter! As always, I aim to share my journey with authenticity and openness, hoping it resonates with your own experiences. This week has been filled with significant milestones, moments of reflection, and some personal challenges. Let’s dive into the details!
🚀 Endeavour: Reaching New Heights
This week has been a milestone for Endeavour, filled with accomplishments and promising developments. One of the most exciting pieces of news is that the big project I mentioned a few weeks ago has finally been accepted! This project has been a long time in the making, with countless hours of preparation, planning, and pitching. There are still some terms and conditions to iron out, but things are looking very promising. The acceptance of this project means that the last two quarters of the year will be incredibly busy, but also incredibly rewarding. It’s a great reminder that perseverance and hard work truly pay off.
In addition to this major project, I received some personal good news as well. I am now officially a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. This certification journey started with a recommendation from a friend who introduced me to Gallup’s strengths-based approach to coaching. Intrigued by the potential to enhance my coaching skills and better support my clients, I decided to pursue the certification. The course was comprehensive and challenging, covering a wide range of concepts and practical applications.
This journey has been incredibly valuable, not just in terms of the certification itself, but also in terms of personal growth. It’s taught me a lot about resilience, the importance of continuous learning, and the power of leveraging our strengths.
🎙️ GROWTH Schema: Podcasting on a High
The GROWTH Schema podcast is riding a wave of momentum right now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. This week, I recorded another episode with a live audience featuring the amazing Johanna Parnis England. Johanna and I had a deep, insightful conversation that touched on various aspects of personal and professional growth. I’m really excited to share this episode with you all, as I believe it offers a lot of valuable insights.
Recording these episodes with a live audience is always a unique experience. There’s an energy in the room that you just don’t get with a standard recording. However, it’s also a logistical challenge. The room we use for recording doubles as an event space, which means I have to set up and dismantle the podcast studio each time. This process takes about six hours in total, from setting up the equipment to making sure everything is perfect for the recording, and then taking it all down afterwards. It’s time-consuming and sometimes stressful.
This week was particularly busy on the podcast front. I was gearing up for the live audience experience with Johanna, and tomorrow I have two more podcast shoots lined up with Henry Zammit and Lorinda Mamo. If any of you are located in Malta and want to join us, feel free to click the links below.
Also, this week, we’re releasing our 40th episode, featuring Andrew Dewar. Andrew is a serial entrepreneur and Certified Advanced DNA ThetaHealer, and in this episode, we delve into his inspiring journey. We discuss topics such as breaking bad habits, the power of letting go, wake-up calls, self-happiness, making life plans, and the art of journaling. Andrew’s mission with Five Year You is to help one million people become their best selves in five years, and his insights are incredibly motivating.
This week’s podcast activities have been both challenging and fulfilling. The conversations I’ve had, the insights I’ve gained, and the connections I’ve made are all incredibly rewarding. Podcasting, for me, is not just about sharing content; it’s about creating a community, sparking meaningful conversations, and fostering growth – both for myself and my listeners. If you’re passionate about something, I encourage you to dive into it wholeheartedly. The journey might be tough, but the rewards are immense.
⚜️ Scouts: Building Bridges and Reflecting
This week involved several scouting meetings aimed at assessing our current educational programs and re-evaluating our future direction. These meetings reminded me of the importance of having a sounding board – someone who can help you step back and look at the bigger picture when you’re too focused on the micro aspects of a project. In scouting, as in life, it’s crucial to have mentors and peers who can provide perspective and support.
Reflecting on these meetings, I realized how essential it is to periodically reassess our goals and strategies. It’s easy to get caught up in day-to-day tasks, but taking a step back allows us to ensure we’re still aligned with our broader mission and values. I encourage you all to find that person or group who can offer you this kind of support and perspective.
⚖️ Fitness and Personal Projects: Balancing Priorities
This week was great for my fitness routine. I managed to get in some solid workouts, although I had to put my metalworking project on hold. The demands of the podcast and scouting meetings took priority, but I’m planning to dive back into the project next week. Creating a monkey bar rig for my gym has been a passion project, and I’m excited to share updates as it progresses.
One of the highlights of my week was a short camping trip over the weekend. It provided a much-needed break and allowed me to relax and recharge. The campsite was beautiful, and we were fortunate enough to witness a pod of dolphins during our time there. The sight of these majestic creatures was truly awe-inspiring. Additionally, the moonlit sky was spectacular—one of those scenes that a photo just doesn’t do justice to. I also got to try out some new camping equipment and gadgets that I had purchased, which added to the overall experience.
Sometimes, stepping away from our usual environment and immersing ourselves in nature can offer a fresh perspective and renewed energy. If you haven’t taken some time for yourself recently, I highly recommend it.
🎧 Music: Finding Strength in Sound
This week’s song, “Journey's End - Heroic,” provided me with the right energy to reflect and get stuff done. If you haven’t heard it yet, give it a listen and let it fuel your week ahead.
Thank you for joining me on this journey of reflection and growth. I hope these insights resonate with your own experiences and inspire you to keep pushing forward. Until next week, take care and keep striving to be your best self!
