Hello Friend!
This week was exciting. Fast at times, reflective at others. It was one of those weeks where things felt like they were naturally moving forward—sometimes in ways I had planned, sometimes in ways I didn’t quite expect. Looking back, what stands out most is the mix of growth, connection, and those moments of “what’s next?” that always seem to surface when you’re balancing different roles in life.
🚀 Endeavour: Progress, Team Spirit & Future Programmes
At Endeavour, this was a steady week. Nothing flashy or dramatic—just the kind of week where one thing flowed into the next.
I’m currently working on some new programmes that I’d like to introduce to companies in the coming weeks. These are still in the works, so I’ll share more soon, but it feels good to be designing initiatives that could add real value to the way organisations think about people and performance.
On Friday, we had a team dinner—a casual gathering but one that felt meaningful. Since Endeavour is structured around remote work and project-based collaboration, we don’t get to spend that much time together outside of delivery. These informal meetups matter because they give us the space to connect beyond the deadlines, the coaching frameworks, and the workshop agendas.
During the dinner, I shared some updates with the team and also some of my thoughts about how we can improve the way we work together. For me, it’s simple: if we get better at how we operate as a team, our clients feel it. The quality of what we deliver externally is directly linked to the health of how we collaborate internally. These are small steps, but they compound over time.
How do you and your team nurture connection when most of the work happens remotely?
🎙️ GROWTH Schema: Inclusion, Studio Upgrades & Looking Ahead
The 72nd episode of the GROWTH Schema podcast went live this week:
“Not Just Pronouns: Making Inclusion Real with Magda Stęga.”
Magda’s story is powerful. She opened up about her transition, the stigma she’s faced, and her journey towards self-love and respect. What struck me most was how she framed inclusion: not as a buzzword or checklist, but as something deeply human—about making sure people feel truly safe and seen. It’s an episode that reminds us that policies mean little without empathy, and language shapes reality.
Beyond the release, this week was podcast-heavy for me. I reached out to upcoming guests, had those first calls to set expectations, and started preparing for upcoming recordings—always a bit trickier as we approach the festive season and people’s availability decreases.
But that wasn’t all. This week also marked another milestone: I recorded my first roundtable podcast in collaboration with FHRD. Joining me were Noel Debono, President of FHRD, Naomi Barry, and Matthew Psaila. Together, we dove into a subject that’s close to my heart: learning and development.
The conversation wasn’t just about training programmes or professional development plans. It was about how organisations can truly support their people in learning continuously, adapting to change, and building resilience in the face of uncertainty. Each of the guests brought unique perspectives—Noel with his big-picture view on HR in Malta, Naomi with her insights on how learning connects to culture, and Matthew with his grounded experience in making L&D practical and relevant.
Recording this roundtable was both exciting and humbling. Exciting because it’s the first of what I hope will be many collaborations with FHRD. Humbling because these conversations reminded me how much work there still is to do when it comes to embedding learning into the DNA of organisations, rather than treating it as an add-on.
On the studio side, I’ve been busy with DIY improvements. These are not the kind of upgrades that anyone will notice on camera, but they elevate the space for guests and give the project a stronger foundation. I also invested in some new equipment for upcoming shoots—small steps that move the podcast forward.
And then there’s the monetisation piece. I’ve been brainstorming how to rent the studio to selected individuals as a way to cover costs. Sponsorship is one way, but I believe this could be another. It’s still a work in progress, but it feels like the right direction.
🤝 Vistage: A Fresh Start with a New Group
This week I restarted Vistage after a short break—this time with a new group focused on small business owners.
The first meeting was energising. The group is larger, more structured, and places a heavy emphasis on accountability and individual progress. That’s exactly what I was looking for at this point in my journey. It’s different from my previous group, but in a good way. Sometimes, a shift in environment gives you a new perspective on your own challenges and opportunities.
It reminded me of the value of surrounding yourself with people who push you to see things differently.
⛺ Scouts: Teamwork, Mediation & Clarity
This week I ran a session with some of our local scouts on teamwork and collaboration. My role was part-mediator, part-facilitator. The aim wasn’t to teach them something new, but to create space for honest conversations, surface misunderstandings, and set things straight.
It reminded me of how often teams—whether in scouting, business, or life—don’t necessarily need more tools, they just need a structured moment to stop, talk openly, and reset. These sessions may look simple from the outside, but they’re often the turning points for how groups function going forward.
🩺 Personal Reflections: Healing, Tests & What’s Next
This week began with my 12-week knee test—a big milestone in the recovery journey. I was thrilled with the results. My mobility and strength are on track, and for the first time since surgery, I was able to start doing light jumps. That might not sound like much, but for me it was a huge morale boost. It feels like the foundation for running is being rebuilt step by step.
On the more personal side, I had a series of conversations about “what’s next”—career-wise, business-wise, and even within scouts. These moments can feel overwhelming because they open up more questions than answers. But they’re also necessary. I’m still in the process of figuring things out, and sometimes just admitting that is part of the growth.
This week also brought lighter moments. I met with friends, enjoyed family meet-ups, and prepared for a friend’s wedding in Como next week. These moments of joy and connection balance out the heavier, strategic conversations.
✨ Closing Thoughts
This week reminded me of two things:
Growth doesn’t always look like breakthroughs—it’s often the steady progress you don’t immediately notice.
Balancing roles means carrying both excitement and ambiguity. The trick is not to let one drown out the other.
When was the last time you felt both excited and uncertain about what’s next? How did you handle it?
Until next week, Grow Beyond.
